PE

PE at Dinnington Community Primary School

At Dinnington we believe PE and sport plays an important role in making our mission statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better. Children at DCPS will have two hours of PE timetabled per week.

Mission Statement

Our Mission, in Physical Education (P.E.), is to develop each child to his/her fullest potential for future success in society.

PE teaches how and why the body moves. It promotes the mental and social development of the child through physical activity. PE is also committed to providing all children with the knowledge and skills to become healthy and active individuals and to develop their confidence and self-esteem. By participating regularly in a broad range of activities children have a way of learning where they may, regardless of ability:

  • meet physical challenges
  • develop essential motor skills
  • assess individual abilities
  • appreciate the fun and joy of human movement
  • develop strategies for improvement

Sport Premium - Primary School Sports Funding
