School Dress Code

Uniform

It is compulsory for all children to wear school uniform. It is inexpensive to buy and consists of royal blue sweatshirt, hoodie, fleece, jumper or cardigan, white or yellow polo shirt and any plain, dark coloured trousers or skirt. If you wish your child to have a sweatshirt or fleece bearing the school logo, these can be ordered from the school office.

PE Kit
Children in FS1, FS2, KS1 and KS2 will require a PE kit consisting of dark coloured shorts and a white t-shirt, or leotard, and a pair of plimsolls or trainers for outdoor lessons with a tracksuit or jogging bottoms and sweatshirt if the weather is cold. For safety reasons children should not wear jewellery, including earrings or any other body piercing and long hair should be tied back.

In bad weather if your child comes to school in Wellingtons or boots please provide them with a pair of indoor shoes or plimsolls.

Please label all your children’s belongings clearly with their name as any lost items that are found can then be returned quickly to their rightful owner. Any unnamed uniform found will be placed in the blue lost property bin outside the kitchens. Please leave all jewellery and toys at home as we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Jewellery
Jewellery, such as necklaces, rings, bracelets and hooped or drop earrings should not be worn for school, these can be dangerous if caught on equipment or other children. Also children become easily upset if they are lost or accidentally broken. If your child has pierced ears and you wish them to wear earrings for school then small studs only may be worn and these must be removed for PE or
covered with sticking plaster.

Mobile Phones
Please note pupils should not bring mobile phones to school. If there is an exceptional reason why your child needs to bring a phone please inform the class teacher who will then keep the phone in a safe place until the end of the school day.
