Poverty Strategy

Dinnington Community Primary School is committed to reducing financial hardship and the impact of poverty upon children.

We aim to achieve this in 2025/26 by;

  • We work in partnership with the Rethink Food National School Pantry Network to provide a weekly food pantry, ensuring families have consistent access to essential groceries.

  • We make good-quality, second-hand school uniform available through our “Fully Loved” boxes located in the main reception, helping to reduce costs for families.

  • We provide access to free training courses for our school community, supporting parents and carers to develop skills and improve opportunities.

  • We offer free bagels to all pupils each morning, ensuring every child starts the school day with something to eat.

  • We provide food vouchers during school holidays for families in receipt of Pupil Premium funding, helping to ease financial pressure when school is closed.

  • We provide daily milk for pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding, supporting their health and wellbeing.
